Dr. Brown performed my Gastric Bypass. He has been very methodical throughout the process with me. They have several videos, support groups and aids that walk you through everything from before surgery to afterwards. He is focused more on the mental changes you have to make before and after surgery which I appreciate because it is not just about metabolic changes but about a change in focus and behaviors. He has been extremely professional, engaging and concerned about me one on one and I have been more than pleased with the results thus far. I also appreciated the fixed pricing on the procedure as well as his flexibility on performing the surgery at the surgical suite (Everest Surgical Institute) instead of a hospital. I traveled six hours from Salt Lake City due to the fact that a local surgeon would not perform the procedure outside of the hospital due to my BMI being slightly over what he allows. Due to my strict adherence to the pre-liquid diet he worked with me and we were able to perform it at the surgical center, thus keeping costs down as well as making the whole experience much better. I am grateful to the staff at his office and the surgical center for all they did. I am off of four prescription medications post surgery and am down already 60 pounds. Getting Gastric Surgery is not a quick fix or an answer for everyone but it is a viable option for those that are willing to change their focus and relationship on food and with themselves. While visiting Idaho, I had an emergency and went to the ER in Meridian. I was treated by Dr. Brown and was so impressed with him and how accomadating he was. He helped me get well fast enough to still take my vacation a week later! Needing a follow-up appointment after leaving Idaho, his staff was excellent at getting me in via Telehealth to see him same day. He remembered me from the hospital and was very kind. Excellent experience!

The surgery was easy. I had relatively very little pain afterwards. I couldn’t recommend this more. Dr Brown and his team took great care of me and it has been life-changing!
During my gastric sleeve procedure, Dr. Brown and his team found and fixed my hernia (that I did not know I had) for no extra charge. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. Before the surgery I met with Dr. Brown and his team who took the time to answer questions, give advice and explain the financial aspects of the procedure. In the months that followed I met several other patience who all had great results with Dr. Brown and the team. My husband and I both highly recommend Dr. Brown and IBM staff.
I have recommended Dr. Brown to several people I know for weight loss surgery. Dr. Brown and Kate are fantastic, professional, understanding and care greatly about their patients. I had the gastric sleeve done a little over 4 years ago. Following every step of their direction I lost around 120lbs within the first 6 months and was able to reach my goal weight and more. I started around 248lbs and hit my goal of 120lbs. It has forever changed my life. I am able to be so much more active in life and not have to be so subconscious about the way I look all the time. I would also like to give high praise to the staff that works at the office whom go above and beyond for their patients. I am still maintaining 125lbs to 130lbs where I feel healthy and the happy. Idaho BMI is one of the absolute best medical clinics I have seen. I was able to personally compare them to other clinics and the difference was night and day. The instructional videos Dr Brown had prepared were so helpful for those preparing for surgery and were very useful to have as a reference after. His staff was the most helpful I have ever encountered. Would not hesitate at all to recommend Idaho BMI
I moved away a few years ago. I just wanted to share how thankful I am for the help of Dr. Brown. He and staff have the best bedside manner and genuinely want to help you take your life back. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to check in now being out of state. I’m still on track and finally hit 150 ❤️
I was referred to Idaho BMI, and Dr. Brown. First, I looked the website up and watched the introduction video, then I started listening to the blogs, and I liked what I was hearing, so I called and made an appointment. I first saw Dr. Brown in January 2024. Dr. Brown explained everything to me, plus made sure I was a candidate for the program. Dr. Brown was very easy to talk too, and very informative, and I was ready to move forward. I had appointments made for the next three months (90) days which are insurance requirements. Over this time, I kept watching the blogs learning more & more. My surgery for Gastric Sleeve was scheduled for 6/11/24. I was ready to do everything that was asked of me plus some. I did go back to work 6 days after my procedure (after thought, would recommend taking at least a couple of weeks off). Everything went great with the fasting before and after. Had a little bit of a tough time once it came time to start eating, but soon realized this is part of the process also. Fast forward, I am now 6 months out 12/11/24), am down right at 100lbs (crazy I know), but more importantly is the amazing progress I am making with "food". I literally chew each bite 25 times and count those chews, and I use my sand timer and wait 2 minutes between bites (two most important components), and I am truly amazed with how good things are. I do not want the things I wanted prior to this procedure, which was my biggest hope. I work in a retail environment and our customers bring lots of "things in for us", donuts, cookies, etc. I can honestly say, not one thing calls out to me. That was what I was truly hoping for. Dr. Brown and Kate, etc. were right, you believe and practice what they ask (specifically these 2 things), diligently, and you will change the makeup in the brain in regard to the food center stomach connection. I'm a believer, and I would and do recommend Idaho BMI and Dr. Brown to anyone looking for true help with this battle. Absolutely Amazing
