Feeling connected to other human beings makes life enjoyable. Some would argue that it is the purpose of life. Experience has shown us that being with other people who have had bariatric surgery or who are preparing for surgery helps a person feel confident, informed, and successful. Idaho BMI holds regular support group meetings for anybody on the journey to health and their loved ones and friends. In these support group meetings, we provide training and education in various topics relevant to our mission- sleep, exercise, nutrition, stress, meditation, etc. As participants feel comfortable, each is given the opportunity to share and contribute to this experience. Sometimes, long-term friendships are established in these meetings.
